Steel doors
GRÄPER steel doors are manufactured with a strong tubular metal frame, which is hot-dip galvanised after fabrication, in accordance with EN ISO 1461, to provide long-term protection against corrosion. The panels are of galvanised sheet steel, and positively fixed or force-fitted to the torsion-resistant frame. PEHLA tests at room pressures of up to 300 mbar confirm the fitness for purpose of this type of construction. When in the opened position, a door stop securely locks the door, making it storm-resistant. Powerful hinges and special door locks, with an additional panic release in mobile substations, ensure its functionality over the years. The locks are designed to accept locking cylinders supplied by the customer.
Mobile substations: symmetrical Euro profile cylinders 61 mm in length or Euro profile half cylinders 40.5 mm in length.
Compact substations: Euro profile half cylinders 45.5 mm in length.
GRÄPER manufactures steel doors according to the customer’s wishes. Precisely dimensioned to the millimetre and in many different designs, such as double walls with heat- and sound-insulating mineral wool inserts, different kinds of ventilation inserts, windows, multi-point locking systems, incorporation of free-issue locks, signal contacts and other options.
GRÄPER experts also produce an intruder-resistant door for heightened security requirements. With certification according to EN V 1627, Resistance Class 3, this door was tested at an independent institute. Our doors are pick-proof, providing IP 23D protection class according to EN 60529 (VDE 0470 Part 1).
As an option, resistance to years of weathering can be provided by a high-quality multi-layer coating consisting of primer, undercoat and finishing coat.
Aluminium doors
Quality and stability are equally in demand from GRÄPER’s aluminium doors. A strong all-round frame with glued and pressed corners ensures high torsional stiffness, and the sturdy 2.5 mm aluminium panels, with barleycorn surface finish, are resistant to scratches. The frame is made from a rotating frame profile. The highly corrosion-resistant E6/EV1-anodised silver-finish aluminium alloy is even resistant to seawater corrosion. The aluminium doors are fitted with a rubber sealant for a secure seal, and a large self-latching stainless steel lock ensures that the door is securely closed. The locks are designed to accept locking cylinders supplied by the customer.
Mobile substations: Swing lever locks operate with Euro profile cylinders 45.5 mm in length. Mortise locks operate with symmetrical Euro profile cylinders with a length of 61 mm or Euro profile half cylinder 40.5 mm in length.
Compact substations: Euro profile half cylinder 45.5 mm in length.
As for the steel doors, GRÄPER also manufactures the aluminium doors in many options according to the customer’s wishes. In addition to E6/EV1 anodising, GRÄPER also offers C34 anodising (bronze colour) and coatings in RAL colours. GRÄPER aluminium doors are pick-proof, with IP 23D protection class according to EN 60529 (VDE 0470 Part 1).
