Enhanced fire protection
KASASTURZ® can be installed immediately and is suitable for use over window and door openings in load-bearing internal and external walls. KASA®-Visible Wall Lintels provide a brilliant solution where aesthetics and functionality of the building during construction are important. Sand-lime lintels are recommended for use with sand-lime brick walls.Craftsmen such as stucco workers, plasterers and painters work with sub-surfaces with very different properties. Use of high quality lintels from the GRÄPER production line guarantees impeccable walling.
A KASASTURZ® lintel provides a high degree of protection against fire. With a width of 115 mm and a minimum height of 113 mm, it can be assigned to fire resistance class F90 without any further certification.
Two perfect options
Lintels are required to flex, because they form a bridge across openings. As brickwork can only accept limited flexural stress compared to other building materials, a wall lintel therefore includes a tension beam of reinforced concrete and a compressive zone of brickwork, concrete or both.There are basically two types of sand-lime stone lintels:
- KASA® lintel: Precast tension beam with compression zone constructed in-situ on site.
- KASA® precast lintels: Consisting of a combined tension beam and compression zone prefabricated in the manufacturing plant.
