Comprehensive testing is available
In the field of measurement technology, GRÄPER has both experience and the necessary equipment to carry out comprehensive tests.Temperature rise measurements:
GRÄPER uses its own test bay to determine the housing class. Hotspots can be identified with the aid of a thermal camera.
Emission measurements:
Here again, all the necessary equipment is available.
Partial discharge (PD) measurements:
GRÄPER can carry out partial discharge measurements in its in-house PD test cabin:
- PD test < 5pC medium voltage (MV) cable
- PD test with medium voltage unit and transformers
- PD measurement of the whole substation
- Determining insulation and assembly weak-spots
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) measurements:
Electromagnetic compatibility measurements can be carried out, at the customer’s request, in-house or on site.
Type tests:
GRÄPER transformer substations, medium voltage switchgear and low voltage switchgear are type-tested, including the following type tests:
- Tests for oil leak and crack width limitation in concrete
- Design verification of low voltage switchgear assemblies (short circuit, temperature rise, insulation, contact, etc) according to EN 61439 (IEC 61439)
- Arc fault protection tests of medium voltage switchgear and transformer substations in accordance with IEC 62271-202
- Heat measurements to determine housing class
- Electromagnetic field measurements according to issue 26 of BimSchV
