Full servicing if required
The GRÄPER group is regarded not only as a manufacturer, but also as a full service provider focusing on the needs and requirements of the customer. As a service provider, GRÄPER delivers transformer substations according to the customer’s specifications and requirements. If required, GRÄPER engineers can take on the project planning of the complete substation with the entire electrical installation, relieving the customers of the burden of planning at minimum cost.
In particular, this applies to
- Project planning of the electrical installation, such as installing the transformer with regard to the housing class, the medium voltage switchgear and the low voltage switchgear assembly
- Conducting the electrical approval procedure with the relevant energy supply company (TAB)
- Project planning of medium and low voltage metering
- Protection and remote control for medium voltage switchgear
- Project planning of substation buildings with regard to the components to be installed and the possible external conditions (e.g. official regulations)
- Developing proposals for the design of the building (geometry, external skin, roof form, etc) after visiting the site
- Preparation of tender documents for the substation building
- Design of substation buildings, including auditable (and optionally also tested) static calculations, including a statement from a recognised expert
- Creation of type tests for batch-manufactured substations
In addition also for
- Developing proposals for the foundations in accordance with the local ground conditions on which the substation is to be installed (Geotechnical Report).
- Building physics design of the substation building, e.g. for the terminal insulation certificate for heat-insulated substation buildings (sandwich¬ construction) in accordance with the German Federal Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV), diffusion calculation (dew point) and sound insulation measurements.
- Completion of the entire building application documents for the substation building, including their submission to the relevant building authorities, if required.
- Evaluation of existing buildings and preparation of proposals for maintenance.
- If required, performance of tests on completed substation buildings (e.g. mechanical load tests) or on individual components of a substation (e.g. examination of the fire resistance duration, test to determine intruder protection, material checks, etc).
